Canada - As the world gathered at TED2025 to explore the provocative theme Humanity Reimagined, Clear-Com, supported by Netgear networking infrastructure, delivered the communications to keep the event running smoothly.

Hosted at the Vancouver Convention Centre, TED2025 drew thousands of the ‘world’s leading thinkers and doers’. Behind the scenes, production teams depended on a robust communications backbone designed around Clear-Com’s Eclipse Delta Frame, FreeSpeak wireless systems, and Dante audio distribution, all networked over high-performance Netgear switches.

Clear-Com’s intercom architecture enabled clear, instant communication across TED’s multiple stages, breakout spaces, and control rooms. Key elements included Eclipse, integrating FreeSpeak II wireless beltpacks for untethered mobility, plus Dante audio interfaces to

USA - The 2025 SKAM Summer Music Summit turned The Mondrian Los Angeles into a two-day celebration where music, technology, and culture converged. Founded by Sujit Kundu, CEO of SKAM Artist and Skam Division, the summit welcomed international DJs, influencers, and guests for pool parties, brand activations, and late-night sets.

To match the energy of the summit while respecting the acoustical challenges of an urban setting, dBTechnologies provided targeted sound solutions across multiple spaces. The poolside stage featured Ingenia IG1T column speakers paired with SUB 915 subwoofers, chosen for their ability to deliver clean coverage and deep low end without spilling into neighbouring properties. A Reevo 212 monitor ensured DJs had the power and clarity they needed for confident performance in a high-energy, outdoor environment.

UK - Edinburgh Airport has recently undergone a transformative project to enhance and modernise passenger journeys. With over 40 airlines operating from the airport and a growing demand for a more modern, digital-first environment, the airport required a new and updated visual infrastructure that would be engaging and informative, as well as ultimately create a seamless and intuitive experience for travellers.

Project lead, NuVideo, a systems integrator based close to Edinburgh, was tasked with delivering a future-ready digital solution to enhance the passenger journey through immersive visual experiences. NuVideo integrated a range of products from Absen, Datapath and BrightSign that together, elevate the airport’s digital signage to new heights of engagement and functionality.

Germany - On 4 July in the Heinz-von-Heiden-Arena in Hanover, Scorpions celebrated their 60th anniversary under the motto Coming Home, in front of 45,000 spectators, alongside Judas Priest and Alice Cooper. Fans from all over the world travelled to experience the German rockers in the city where it all began.

Manfred Nikitser has been responsible for the band’s visual appearance, as lighting, stage and video content designer, since 2015. For the anniversary show, he created a production design that set the standard for large-scale open-air rock shows: stadium-ready in terms of output and reach, yet precisely tailored to the requirements of a multi-camera recording.

“The unique thing about a stadium show is that the audience in the front row is perhaps three metres from the stage, while the audience in the back is over 100m away – and y

Portugal - This summer, as the finale to their 15 Years tour, Portuguese speaking band Calema prepared for the largest ever show from a band with Portuguese origins. DiGiCo Quantum 338s at the front-of-house position and two DiGiCo SD5s at monitors were deployed, supplied by Auditiv Audiovisuals.

Calema comprises brothers António Mendes Ferreira and Fradique Mendes Ferreira, who were born on the African island of São Tomé and Príncipe. The band’s name roughly translates to ‘special wave’, which refers to the treasures brought to the island by the tide. The pair relocated to Portugal to pursue their musical careers and their recent show at Lisbon’s Estádio da Luz was their biggest stadium show yet.

“The Calema concert was a true spectacle,” says Joao Escada, co-owner with Daniel Bekerman of Auditiv Audiovisuals. “We wanted

USA - Halsey’s recent For My Last Trick tour concluded on 6 July. The multi-Grammy winner was intimately involved in creating the look for the 30-city tour - a look that interwove the dramatic expectations of theatre with the raw energy of rock (not to mention a rainbow of colours) so naturally, that its various elements seemed to flow from one another.

My Last Trick was definitely more theatrical than a typical tour,” said John Featherstone, who worked with his Lightswitch colleagues, Hailey Featherstone and Ignacio (Iggy) Rosenberg on lighting the show. “Given that there were multiple acts, it was important for Halsey and her team that there was a strong differentiation between each stage of the show we were in.

“There are moments of real softness and emotion; raw, vulnerable emotion,” continued Featherstone. “Then

USA - Billsville House, an intimate house concert venue, has been enhancing the live music experience for a decade, evolving from its roots in Williamstown, Massachusetts to its current home in Manchester Centre, Vermont. Founded by Doug Hacker and Caroline Schneider, with their sons Ethan and Kai Hacker handling production, sound engineering, and ticketing, Billsville has cultivated a space that warmly embraces both audiences and musicians.

The genesis of Billsville stemmed from Doug and Caroline's passion for live music and the challenge of accessing good venues in rural Massachusetts, especially with young children. Inspired by a friend's house concert, they reached out to musician Joe Pug, who agreed to play a small show at their home, leading to a new tradition.

This led to their distinctive operating model: offering musicians 100% of the procee

Following the successful debut of a full system in 2024, audio provider Autograph Sound has committed to the design long-term, purchasing a complete EM Acoustics package that will become an ongoing mainstay of the Open Air Theatre’s programme.

Autograph has a long-standing relationship with Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, having supplied a full audio system for a number of years. The desire to create a consistent, high-quality sound experience at the Open Air Theatre led to the implementation of a more permanent, bespoke solution. Spain - As one of Ibiza’s best-known clubs, Amnesia has built a reputation for having quality sound. Since opening in 1976, it has hosted many of the world’s leading electronic music artists, establishing itself as a cornerstone of Ibiza’s club scene.

In 2022, the Main Room underwent a major upgrade with a sophisticated KV2 Audio sound system, custom-configured by club sound specialists Plusmusic Ibiza, setting the benchmark for sound quality and impact. On the back of this success, in 2025, focus shifted to Amnesia’s expansive Terrace – formerly an open-air space, now enclosed by a windowed roof. Here, Plusmusic Ibiza was once again entrusted to design a system that would deliver the next evolution of club sound – building on the success of their custom-engineered setup in the Main Room.

France - Horse riding show Cadre noir of Saumur took place at the famed seaside resort of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage as part of the Gala of the Squires of the Cadre noir of Saumur.

Highlighting the aesthetic harmony of horses and their riders at the popular event was an elegantly balanced lighting design that relied on the precise performance of 16 Chauvet Professional Maverick Storm 2 Profile projectors supplied by Alive Angers, the technical provider for sound and lighting.

Charley Guitton of Alive Angers served as the project manager of Cadre noir of Saumur, and Esteban Sabatier, lighting console operator for the show who managed all aspects of lighting.

“We needed IP65 fixtures, given that the shows are held outdoors and there is a lot of dust with the Cadre noir horses, not to mention the potential rain,” sai

Canada - More than 25,000 fans descended on Ottawa’s RA Centre Grounds for the 15th annual edition of the Escapade Festival this summer, Canada’s largest outdoor EDM event.

Being relatively far north (450km above Toronto), Ottawa enjoys long summer days. That’s great for people who spend time outdoors, admiring the area’s natural beauty, but for anyone trying to light a major festival featuring stars like The Chainsmokers, Excision, Kaskade, Gryffin, Jessica Audiffred and Liquid Stranger, all that sunlight can present a challenge, especially if you want to serve up the intense, searing looks that their music demands.

The team at Quebec-based Onedot was more than up to the task this summer. They succeeded in setting the stage for evocative looks even during day light hours, thanks to some adroit fixture placement and a carefully curat

Spain - The Sagunto Roman Theatre, an open-air venue with over 2,000 years of history, has chosen to modernise its stage lighting with nine Ayrton Rivale Profile units, exclusively distributed in Spain by Stonex.

Every summer, this space hosts Sagunt a Escena, a festival that brings together theatre, music, and dance in front of thousands of spectators. Working in such a historic and open-air venue is a challenge: lighting must be powerful enough to cover large distances, resistant to changing weather conditions, and at the same time discreet, so as not to interfere with the aesthetics of the monument.

That’s where Rivale Profile has proven to be the best choice. With its IP65 rating, the fixture is built for outdoor conditions while maintaining a compact design that blends seamlessly into the theatre’s architecture. According to Ramón

UK - When the 2025 Wimbledon Championships were broadcast to millions worldwide this summer, the event not only showcased world-class tennis on the famous grass courts but also delivered breathtaking aerial coverage - captured by a high-speed wire camera system installed by Rigging Team and safeguarded with Broadweigh’s wireless load monitoring technology.

Spanning over 650m, the high-speed wire camera system was supplied by Luna Remote Systems, the specialist wire cam company behind the project. Two 36m tower crane sections, positioned in Wimbledon Green and across the adjacent golf course, supported the dual-line setup, enabling a single camera unit to capture sweeping, cinematic shots from the practice courts to Centre Court.

Throughout the tournament, Broadweigh’s wireless load monitoring system ensured the lines remained safely and evenly te

The Netherlands - Soenda Outdoor 2025 once again proved why it’s one of the Netherlands’ leading electronic music festivals, delivering a memorable experience to thousands of visitors. With exactly 512 fixtures from Showtec and Infinity deployed across the festival grounds, Highlite International helped bring the magic to life.

In a remarkable coincidence, exactly 512 Highlite fixtures were deployed across the festival’s three main areas - Java, Komodo, and Timor. The number 512 holds special significance in the lighting industry, representing the number of channels in a single DMX universe. This symbolic alignment and the efforts of all involved made Soenda Outdoor 2025 into a spectacular production.

The Java stage featured a vibrant mix of colour and intensity, brought to life by 100 Showtec Spectral M800 Q4 PARs and 124 Sho

Belgium - Tomorrowland 2025 in Boom started with a bang, but not on a musical level: just a few days before the festival was due to begin, a major fire destroyed the Main Stage. Organisers, technical partners and crews erected a new stage within just 24 hours, which became an impressive example of the resilience and cooperation in the event industry – and symbolised the festival motto Live Today. Love Tomorrow. Unite Forever. Also on board were over 260 Cameo outdoor lights, which provided large and small lighting productions on several festival stages, despite the time pressure and difficult conditions.

PRG BeNeFra was responsible for the lighting design and rigging on the Main Stage. “It was a shock,” recalls managing director Peter Robberechts, remembering the moment the fire broke out. “But as soon as it was clear that no one wa
