“Each of my columns was positioned slightly in front of the other, creating a layered effect,” he explained. “The content that ran on them was quite dynamic - things like descending lighting effects, particle lines, and other visuals that complemented the ene

USA - Bespoke Technology Group and audio manufacturer 1 Sound have collaborated to bring a striking sound system to Evelyn, a newly opened steakhouse and lounge in Dallas’ Design District. Inspired by Taylor Jenkins Reid’s bestselling novel The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, the venue features seven different rooms, each with its own distinct atmosphere.

From the start, sound was a central design priority. Instead of following the traditional route of working first with an integrator, Reach Hospitality, the ownership group behind Evelyn, contacted 1 Sound directly with a clear vision for their audio solution. 1 Sound then connected them with Bespoke Technology Group, who partnered with 1 Sound’s CEO and lead audio designer, Lou Mannarino, to bring the project to life.

UK - Technical manager Sam Day recently turned to DPA Microphones to achieve pristine sound capture for an innovative in-the-round production of Albert Herring at Opera North’s Howard Assembly Room in Leeds. “In the late stages of planning, I was informed we could not use any radio or body mics, which are typically essential for this kind of production,” explains Day. “That completely changed our approach, so I immediately reached out to DPA UK knowing I could trust the brand’s mics to deliver outstanding results with the quality and control I needed.”

The performance space, an intimate venue far smaller and more controlled than a traditional opera house, meant Day would need to capture a wide d

USA - There is a common thread running through dance and lighting design, two art forms that rely on movement to tell stories and convey emotions. This connection is evident in the design that Matthieu Larivée and the team at Lüz Studio created for Jason Aldean’s 31-city Full Throttle Tour, which began 23 May and concludes 4 October at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach.

Working with a rig from Bandit Lites, Larivée and his colleagues deftly moved video and lighting elements through carefully choreographed steps that would do any ballet company proud. Virtually every design element in this production was in motion at one point or another, from the Chauvet Professional Colorado PXL Curves, which Larivée said “waltzed slowly to the music” in three songs, to the 49 x 19ft upstage video wall, as well as panels on the 52 x 3ft
