UK - Clear-Com’s IP Transceivers are rapidly gaining traction in the professional theatre world, being deployed for some of the most ambitious productions across London’s West End, Broadway, and international touring circuits. From Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Back to the Future, and MJ the Musical in London, to Shucked and & Juliet on US tours, major sound designers and technical teams are turning to Clear-Com.

At the heart of this growing adoption is the capability to support up to 10 FreeSpeak II digital wireless beltpacks per IP Transceiver.

“IP Transceivers are now our preferred transceiver for Arcadia Central Station,” said Russell Godwin of Gareth Owen Sound. The company supports an array of top-tier productions and plays a significant role in shaping technology expectations in the

USA - For 17 days and nights each spring, the city of Charleston, South Carolina, welcomes hundreds of performers to fill its historic venues with art and culture. Spoleto Festival USA, the American counterpart to Italy’s Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto, Italy, serves as a dynamic showcase for talent.

This performing arts event celebrates everything from theatre, opera, and dance to orchestral, jazz, and contemporary music. To bring these performances to life, KV2 Audio was selected as the official sound partner.

Having collaborated with the festival in previous years, sound design and audio specialists Autograph A2D returned to install the 2025 sound system. “We’ve been involved over the years through sound designer, Lew Mead,” says Preston Dunnavant, sound engineer at Autograph A2D. “In 2023, I took over from Lew as le

Europe - Drummer turned audio engineer Ross Rothero-Bourge heads up live mixing for The UK Drum Show and The Europe Drum Show, the music festival-meets-trade shows held in Liverpool and Friedrichshafen. He is also head studio engineer at Cube Recording in Cornwall.

Most recently, he’s been on tour with Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons. Ross has also worked with Tom Meighan, co-founder of high-energy British rockers Kasabian. His microphones of choice are the Audix D6 and D6X on kick and bass-centric sources, SCX25A as drum overheads, the OM7 handheld as vocal mic, and the PDX720 and PDX520 as versatile studio workhorses.

“I’ve just been out on the road with Phil Campbell, the guitarist from Motörhead,” says Ross. “Even after all these years, Phil has that unmistakable rock’n’roll presence, and the fans were loving e

Columbia - Karol G’s record-breaking Mañana Será Bonito stadium tour featured a high level of sonic precision thanks to front-of-house engineer John Buitrago. With months of travel and dozens of performances, the tour demanded not just accuracy, but resilience from the equipment it used. To account for these needs, a variety of solutions from DPA Microphones were chosen by Buitrago to capture the energy of the show without compromising the authenticity of the music.

The mic setup was as dynamic as the performance itself. Horns were outfitted with DPA 4099 Instrument Mics - high SPL models for the trumpet and sax and low SPL for the flute - to deliver crisp, isolated tones on a B-stage nearly 80ft from the main PA system, surrounded by the acoustical chaos and crowd energy of stadium reverberation in the massive venues, which hosted upwards of 10

Slovenia - Basilica Brezje and St. Jernej’s Church recently enlisted the help of Renkus-Heinz’s UBX loudspeakers to ensure visitors can enjoy improved speech intelligibility and clear audio.

Experienced acoustic engineer and project manager Mitja Borko took on the challenge to transform the sound in both venues, with a goal of enhancing clarity, increasing quality and lessening reverberation. After thoroughly testing a range of loudspeakers, the UBX Series UBX8 100V passive column loudspeaker from Renkus-Heinz was chosen. MTD Electronics, a Renkus-Heinz partner in Slovenia, handled the distribution of loudspeakers in both churches.

The UBX8 offers the sound quality and accurate beam-steering technology of Renkus-Heinz’s flagship Iconyx loudspeakers in a compact passive column, making it suitable for aesthetically sensitive buildings that still

USA - From 19-21 September, the twin cities of Bristol, Tennessee–Virginia once again lit up for the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, transforming historic Main Street into a three-day celebration of Americana, bluegrass, country, folk, and rock.

Born from the legendary 1927 Bristol Sessions, the festival is recognised by many as the birthplace of country music, and this year’s edition carried that heritage forward with performances that drew thousands to the streets where two states meet.

Sound was a defining part of the experience, and 2025 marked a special milestone for dBTechnologies. While the brand’s systems have supported multiple stages at the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion in past years, this edition brought something entirely new: the worldwide debut of the VIO W12T stage monitors.

USA - The Columbus district of Indiana is known as the architectural capital of America’s Midwest, housing a clutch of modernist buildings.

A good example of this high art is St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, constructed in 1988, and described as ‘an architectural masterpiece’. But for all its aesthetic beauty, delivering an evenly-distributed sound through the sanctuary to the 750 congregants - sat in a series of rising levels of concentric, but irregular circles - had proved historically difficult before the adoption of a Martin Audio line array.

Tasked with masterminding a sustainable PA upgrade, Alex Moon, director of engineering at the locally-based Force Tech, undertook a site survey. He immediately noted the asymmetric and non-aligned interior, with the sanctuary set around a central section flanked by two raked seating wings. He recognised

UK - Celestion has announced the TF0512HE. In a 5" form factor, the TF0512HE offers extended bass response for its size, thanks to robust construction and materials used. Optimal applications include woofer duties in compact two-way studio monitors or bookshelf speakers, low-profile in-fill cabinets, and even small line array boxes employing one or more units.

A pressed steel chassis facilitates maximum energy transfer while keeping unit weight to a scant 1.4kg (3.1 pounds). Able to handle up to 150W of continuous programme power, the TF0512HE pairs well with the high-output Class D amplifiers often used in today’s most popular active cabinet designs. Kevlar loading adds stiffness and resilience to the lightweight paper cone, keeping sound free of distortion even at sustained high output. The cone is mounted within an Elastomer (elastic polymer) surround,

UK - Lana Del Rey played stadia across England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales this summer, marking her debut as a UK & Ireland stadium headliner. An additional second Wembley Stadium show led to her becoming the biggest selling touring solo artist of 2025 in the UK.

How her sound was conveyed was down to a team of mixers, engineers and techs, supported by audio vendor, Sound Image, which has worked with tour manager Emily Holt across Lana’s shows for years. “I am so lucky,” says Emily. “We’ve got an amazing team who go above and beyond, and my suppliers have been with me for so long now. A key factor in that is good communication, it’s so important on any tour, and our team is great at explaining to Lana certain things which will make her feel more comfortable, things to expect in each venue, so that she will be in the right headspace. USA - For her first-ever arena tour, Grammy-winning artist Kali Uchis wanted to give fans not only a visually stunning show, but also an intimate and immersive sonic experience. To meet the challenge, Sound Image, a Clair Global brand, partnered with Uchis’ touring crew to design a JBL Professional VTX loudspeaker system that delivered clarity, impact and consistency across large-scale venues.

The jump to a full-scale arena tour marked a significant leap of faith for Uchis and her longtime FOH engineer Danny Muñoz, who had guided her sound since her earliest club performances. To meet the scale of these venues, Sound Image deployed a powerful JBL Professional system comprising of 72 VTX A12 line array loudspeakers, 52 VTX A8 loudspeakers for 270-degree hangs and front-fills, 24 flown VTX S28 subwoofers, and 16 ground-stacked VTX B28 subwoofers. Hungary - This summer, Hungary’s much-loved Bánkitó Festival signed off with HK Audio at its side. The alternative gathering - long celebrated for blending music, art, and activism - closed its 16-year run between 9-13 July at Lake Bánk, leaving audiences with memorable performances powered by the Cosmo line array system.

Bánkitó has stood out for its eclectic lineup ever since its beginnings, with this year featuring Csaknekedkislány, Carson Coma, 30Y, Co Lee and Sisi. The main stage featured Hungary’s first and largest Cosmo deployment; combining C10 and C6 modules in a mixed array, supported by HK Audio subs, to deliver clean, even coverage across the unique site.

“Cosmo works out of the box really well and we fine-tuned things together with Event Studio and Eurhythmics in just under half an hour,” says Karel Noon, application suppor

Turkey - Martin Audio has appointed Istanbul-based Republik Pro AVL as its new Turkish distributor, with immediate effect.

Set up earlier this year, one of the founders, Kemal ‘Kal’ Yener, said that the aim of Republik was “to bring real, brand-focused distribution back to the Turkish pro-audio market”. He continued: “We work only as a distributor - there is no integration arm - so our partners know we don’t compete with them on projects.”

The company already represents several high-premium pro-audio brands, Martin Audio being the latest addition to an impressive stable, initially driven by Kal Yener’s long relationship with David McKinney from Generation AV in Singapore. “I liked the direction Generation AV was taking with the Focusrite team. At the same time, we had progressive talks with the Martin Audio team, especially Andy Duf

Brazil - For years, technical staff at the Comunhão Cristã Abba, a 3,500-capacity evangelical church in southern Brazil, had been considering replacing their underperforming PA system. But when Solid State Logic’s Brazilian distribution partner introduced them to an SSL Live, they soon realised the issue wasn’t the loudspeakers - it was the mixing desk.

Now equipped with an SSL Live L200 Plus at FOH and an L100 Plus at monitors, the church has experienced a significant uplift in audio quality, clearly noticed by both the technical team and the congregation.

Anderson Marcelino, chief engineer at Abba, had been expecting better clarity and headroom from the PA system. “But during the SSL Live demo, arranged by João Wesley Digigov - CEO of long-time AV partner JWD Audiovisual - we immediately noticed more SPL and improved system response. Bu
