Norway - Known as Norway’s Fairytale Park, Hunderfossen is an award-winning tourist destination, welcoming more than 250,000 visitors each summer with over 60 family attractions. The park recently unveiled its newest adventure, Musikkfabrikken (The Music Factory), an interactive exploration of classical music that blends visual art, animated characters, and a sound system powered by Genelec Smart IP loudspeakers.

Housed in an unused 4D cinema, Musikkfabrikken was developed by Sigurd Slåttebrekk, a Norwegian classical pianist and professor of piano – who worked with Hunderfossen and the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra – to make classical music more accessible and exciting for adults and children alike.

Norwegian integrator, Bravo, was tasked with finding a sound system capable of delivering an exciting yet comfortable mus

UAE - Assistive listening manufacturer, Contacta, has supplied more than 500 of its hearing loop systems for a major project to enhance hearing accessibility at Dubai International (DXB). USA - Bespoke Technology Group and audio manufacturer 1 Sound have collaborated to bring a striking sound system to Evelyn, a newly opened steakhouse and lounge in Dallas’ Design District. Inspired by Taylor Jenkins Reid’s bestselling novel The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, the venue features seven different rooms, each with its own distinct atmosphere.

From the start, sound was a central design priority. Instead of following the traditional route of working first with an integrator, Reach Hospitality, the ownership group behind Evelyn, contacted 1 Sound directly with a clear vision for their audio solution. 1 Sound then connected them with Bespoke Technology Group, who partnered with 1 Sound’s CEO and lead audio designer, Lou Mannarino, to bring the project to life.

“From the very first meeting with the owners and Lou, it was clear

UK - Academy Music Group (AMG) has revealed a major investment at its West London venue, O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. These recent improvements are the latest in a continuous programme of upgrades planned by the company to ensure its venues are at the forefront of the industry.

The historic building, which was designed by renowned architect Frank Matcham and opened in 1903, has been entertaining audiences for over 120 years and this summer has undergone a comprehensive technical upgrade, transforming the venue's audio capabilities and updating the venue’s lighting - while preserving the architectural integrity and remaining sensitive to the backdrop of performances and arguably one the most well-known theatres in the UK.

Partnering with Adlib, the installation of a d&b audiotechnik system has been designed to work with and respect the historica

USA - Staten Island’s landmark St. George Theatre performing arts venue recently invested in 33 Ayrton Khamsin fixtures and 11 Ayrton Huracán Washes for its latest equipment upgrade. ACT Entertainment is the exclusive distributor of Ayrton lighting fixtures in North America.

The 1,900-seat St. George Theatre opened in 1929 as a movie and vaudeville house whose interior, in a mix of Spanish and Italian Baroque styles, rivalled many Broadway theatres. It was renovated in 2004 and has been hosting educational programmes, architectural tours, television and film shoots, concerts, comedy, Broadway touring companies and children's shows and is noted for its acoustics.

The theatre’s most recent upgrade, to replace outdated lighting fixtures, saw 15 Ayrton Khamsin units mounted on the FOH truss and 16 Khamsins spread on the third and fourth electric and

USA/Canada - Since 2020, Pharos Architectural Controls solutions have been pivotal in the control of lighting at Niagara Falls. More recently, and to celebrate 100 years of illuminating the world-famous landmark – culminating in a special event between 12 and 14 September – additional solutions from Pharos have been used.

Throughout 2025, the Niagara Falls Illumination Board (NFIB) has been marking its centennial anniversary – a milestone that commemorates 100 years since the Falls first became lit every evening. The celebrations have included a large event in June to commemorate the first lighting of Niagara Falls with timed fireworks, and other activities thro

Germany - In the heart of Kempten, one of Germany’s oldest towns, the historic Kornhaus building stands as a testament to Kempten’s rich heritage. The building recently underwent a significant renovation across six floors to transform it into a modern cultural and event hub for Kempten. At the centre of this ambitious transformation was the design challenge of integrating modern lighting and sound technology without compromising the building's timeless character. Kscape’s RAIL integrated lighting and audio system proved to be a sound solution.

In collaboration with stakeholders, including integrators Zeiler Technik and distributors Medialantic and Musik Lenz, ABT Elektroplanung played a central role in the Kornhaus renovation. As the project evolved, Ulf Klüpfel of ABT Elektroplanung took on the role of consultant, overseeing the design and integratio

Canada - The University of Toronto Scarborough, established in 1964, is one of the top-ranked universities in Canada. The institution prides itself on finding new ways to create environments in which students can thrive, and their recently built Sam Ibrahim Building is central to this ethos.

The expansive, five-storey building houses lecture halls, faculty offices, collaboration spaces and more. Six ‘feature’ lecture theatres were central to the development: Conveyor, Cave, Keystone, Collaboratorium, Cloud, and the flagship Arrow Group Innovation Hall (formerly known as the Campfire), which features a 360°-seating arrangement. These modern, individually designed spaces all came with the same important audio challenge: the need for outstanding coherence and crystal-clear speech from professors.

To address the task, the university partnered with C

Spain - Right in the heart of Schinkenstraße and just a few steps from the sea sits Bierkönig – a true Playa de Palma institution for almost 40 years. Located directly in the popular nightlife district, this beer garden and live performance venue spans more than 5,000sq.m and has become a meeting point for lovers of German music, culture, and atmosphere from morning until late at night. A major renovation to Bierkönig's 1,250sq.m main hall, Neuer Bereich, which began in late 2024, included a complete audio system overhaul. This main performance space, hosting up to 2,000 guests nightly, had long suffered from an audio sy

Mexico - Tucked into a quiet residential block of Colonia Condesa, in Mexico City, OWL Hidden Bar inhabits what was once the storage space of a former restaurant. At just 102sq.m, its discreet footprint captures the spirit of a hidden bar – secrecy, intimacy, and the thrill of discovery.

Inspired by 1920s speakeasies, the project reimagines Art Deco geometry through a contemporary lens. A monolithic brass bar anchors the space, functioning as both centrepiece and stage. Around it, illuminated textiles and warm finishes balance brass, wood, concrete, and fabric, setting the scene for a night that shifts seamlessly between calm conversation and lively music.

When it came to sound, the project team initially had a different brand in mind. But that changed once they visited NTX Distribution’s showroom and heard 1 Sound for themselves.

Interlink, in turn, partnered with Designer Digital Systems to design the sound system, build the racks, and programme the system. With space for only one full-sized rack on the 9th floor and one in the mezzanine MDF room, and requirements to power many speakers at high SPL for parties, amplifier size and power were major considerations. Chile - When the Chilean Army inaugurated the Iglesia Nuestra Señora del Carmen (Our Lady of Mount Carmel) in Santiago de Chile in July 2025, the event marked the consecration of the country’s first institutional church, serving as a spiritual home for service members and their families. With its soaring laminated wood arches, 14 stained-glass windows, and expanded 300-seat capacity, the new church was a symbol of faith and national identity, but it also presented a major acoustic challenge.

With a reverberation time of 4.5 seconds, even the most solemn words of the liturgy quickly became blurred, leaving parishioners disconnected from key moments of worship. To address this, Chilean HK Audio partner ProSound and distributor SETESA designed and installed a new sound system built around the HK Audio SI Series P10j.

The installation includes six SI

Fierté Montréal (Montreal Pride Festival) has always been about far more than size, even though it is one of the largest pride fests in the world. This philosophy was reflected in the theme of this year’s festival:  Blossom Here, Now! It also radiated from the uplifting lighting and production design created by Gil Perron that transformed the main stage and sprawling site in and around Olympic village into a visual wonderland that

Europe - Robert Juliat has announced its major participation in an ambitious investment project led by the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, as part of a European programme to renovate the energy efficiency of cultural infrastructures in Belgium. Ten emblematic French-speaking theatres have benefited from the renewal of their lighting systems: Les Tanneurs, La Raffinerie, Le Botanique, Le Varia, Le Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles and Les Halles de Schaerbeek in Brussels, L’Orchestre Philharmonique Royal, Le Manège Fonck and Le Forum in Liège and Le Manège in Mons.

This project enabled the replacement of tungsten lighting with LED solutions, making a strong contribution to the energy transition. To guide the process, end-users were invited to a series of demonstration days to compare the solutions offered by different manufacturers, as well as to a

Spain - The Sagunto Roman Theatre, an open-air venue with over 2,000 years of history, has chosen to modernise its stage lighting with nine Ayrton Rivale Profile units, exclusively distributed in Spain by Stonex.

Every summer, this space hosts Sagunt a Escena, a festival that brings together theatre, music, and dance in front of thousands of spectators. Working in such a historic and open-air venue is a challenge: lighting must be powerful enough to cover large distances, resistant to changing weather conditions, and at the same time discreet, so as not to interfere with the aesthetics of the monument.

That’s where Rivale Profile has proven to be the best choice. With its IP65 rating, the fixture is built for outdoor conditions while maintaining a compact design that blends seamlessly into the theatre’s architecture. According to Ramón

Indonesia - Holywings is an Indonesian lifestyle and entertainment group with a varied selection of bars, clubs and live music venues, spread across the island’s key cities.

Many of the venues under the Holywings banner feature Martin Audio solutions, provided and installed by partner, GMT Group.

Their latest sound system upgrade - at the HW Superhouse Paskal Bandung live music bar - is no exception, although in this instance it is a new-generation Martin Audio WPC line array that provides the main stage hangs rather than the point source that populates many of the other venues. The system was conceived by the marketing and technical director of GMT Group, Satrio Prisetya.

Superhouse Paskal Bandung itself is a large, near 400-capacity, open-plan venue with its stage set centrally. The venue offers combines live band performances with DJ set
