Malaysia - The Midas PRO9 mixing console was recently used by Premier Echo Sound & Lighting for Malaysia's 2016 Sukma Games opening ceremony which has been praised as 'one of the most excellent ceremonies in the history of Sukma' by the Malaysian Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin.

Kuching's Sarawak Stadium was host to 45,000 attendees for a captivating show delivered by 3,000 performers, and was broadcast live on Malaysia's TV1 on 23 July 2016.

Belgium - A large Turbosound system of more than 70 loudspeakers recently provided flawless coverage for two stages of The Gentse Feesten, one of Europe's biggest cultural festivals held annually across the city of Ghent.

Splendit, the largest Turbosound rental company in the Benelux region was commissioned to ensure consistent and controlled coverage of sound, on and off the site.

Noise control is a critical factor for the city's 10-day long festival which takes place in and around Ghent's residential areas. Marijn Broeckaert of Splendit explains, "The Turbosound Flex Array was chosen especially for its 75 degrees dispersion. It is able to deliver such clear, directed sound to festival-goers without impacting areas out with the immediate festival."

Sweden - Designed by architect Axel F Nystrom, Gamla Riksarkivet was the Swedish government's official archive, housing documents of great historical importance. Once the tallest building in Stockholm, the premises is now run by Stureplansgruppen - Sweden's largest entertainment group.

Located in Riddarholmen, the Brick Romanesque structure is an example of a late 1800s institution building, and one of the few remaining in Europe. Now repurposed to offer tours as well as an array of party, event and conference spaces, Gamla Riksarkivet lives on after its official closure as an archive in 1968.

UK - Production specialist Bright collaborated again with technical solutions experts Central Presentations Ltd (CPL) who delivered full technical design and production for a live hair styling and catwalk presentation event in Manchester for cult hair brand, Fudge Professional.

The event - celebrating the Fudge Professional Core Collective - was staged in Studio 12 of the Old Granada Studios in the city which offered up a totally bare space, so everything - staging, set, lighting, sound and video - had to be built and installed from scratch to realise the Fudge team's original concept.

CPL's crew was led by Mike Radford, who commented, "The vibe of the event was energetic and lively, Fudge is a leading brand known for its alternative and 'out-of-the-box' approach to hair styling, so everything we were doing on the technical front had to help create this impression."

UK - The Milton Keynes Bowl was once again the venue for the Electric Daisy Carnival this summer that attracted over 55,000 passionate EDM aficionados.

For the fourth year running it was Britannia Row Productions that supplied all four stages: the main bowl arena with delays and also the three tent stages - the circuitGROUND, the cosmicMEADOW and the neonGARDEN. Each stage was rigged with an L-Acoustics loudspeaker system, predominantly K1s on the main stage with K2s being the main component at the circuitGROUND, the cosmicMEADOW and the neonGARDEN.
