Elation Professional will show the new Platinum Spot 5R Pro, an upgraded version of its Platinum Spot 5R DMX moving head, in response to what Dirk Kast, general manager for Elation Europe, describes as the "overwhelming success" of the original.

Like the original, the new Platinum Spot 5R Pro features Philips MSD Platinum 5R Lamp Technology, an innovation that allows the creation of fixtures that are brighter and more powerful with superior light quality, yet are also faster, smaller, lighter weight, draw less energy and have longer-lasting lamps, says the company. Belarus - PR Lighting fixtures were used extensively at the inaugural Crossfield Festival which was held in a football arena in Minsk.

Around 8,000 fans turned up to the event promoted by All Stars Agency, and starring DJ, ATB and German production duo Cosmic Gate (DJ Bossi and Nic Chagall).

Local technology company, FE Belimlight were contracted to provide the staging and lighting, having worked with the promoters on other concerts in Belarus, including The Scorpions and Vanessa Mae.

France - LumenRadio's CRMX RDM wireless lighting control system played a key role in the lighting refurbishment of UNESCO world heritage site Pont du Gard. The installation represents one of the most comprehensive wireless systems ever to take full advantage of RDM (Remote Device Management) for fixture configuration and monitoring in an outdoor architectural setting.

Pont du Gard is a classic tri-level aqueduct built 2,000 years ago over the Gard river in Southern France. This display of Roman engineering and masonry is visited by more than a million tourists every year and is a focal point for cultural activities and festivals. The site is also frequently used for Son et Lumiéres; that made it critical to find a wireless system than not only could handle the daily operations effectively, but that also would seamlessly integrate with the controls for such events.

It's powered by a 12-volt battery offering at least 12 hours of life to the fixture. For control, standard DMX ports are available, as well as a pre-installed Wireless Solution WDMX receiver. Focusing is accomplished two different ways; the split LED plane can be precisely angled using the adjustment screws on the outside of the fixture, or for more dramatic adjustments, a ratcheting foot c
