Unusually, two additional screens were configured and flown above the side stage monitor positions at right angles pointing away from the front of stage and directly at the restricted view seats around the back - to ensure that everyone in the stadium got an equally good view of the action. Although XL already had also a large video system installed at Wembley for the Princess Diana Tribute concert just six days before Live Earth, this all had to be removed in the meantime. The event kicked off the high profile venue's new life as a major UK concert venue in grand style - with performances by Basement Jaxx, the Kaiser Chiefs and Tom Jones. The show was presented by Dermot O'Leary.

The Lighthouse screen was used as a backdrop of the catwalk that featured girls who had replied to an appeal on the band's MySpace web page.

Video director Charlie Lightening says: "Having seen other music videos using LED video walls I knew that, as a video director, I could do something amazing with it.

"I wanted a strong, clean image when the cameras were zoomed back, but also to have a pixellated style of image when the cameras zoomed in close. I approached R16 from an artistic point of view, it was the right screen to achieve the effect that I want."
