The new UHD Vision range is available now through Van Damme’s distribution network.

UK - Van Damme has expanded its digital video portfolio with the introduction of new Enhanced UHD Vision 12GHz coaxial cables.

Engineered to support the latest SMPTE ST 2082 12G-SDI single-link transmission, the new range ensures uncompromising signal integrity for demanding UHD and 4K/8K video workflows. With enhanced performance and extended transmission distances, these coaxials are designed for reliability in both fixed installations and live production environments.

The new products include: Van Damme 75 Ohm Enhanced UHD Vision 12GHz RG6 LSZH (278-875-006); Van Damme 75 Ohm Enhanced UHD Vision 12GHz RG11 (268-875-011); Van Damme 75 Ohm Enhanced UHD Vision 12GHz RG6 (268-875-006) and Van Damme 75 Ohm Enhanced UHD Vision 12GHz 0.7/2.9 coax (268-075-006).

With calculated transmission distances of up to 227m at 6Gb/s and 105m at 12Gb/s (RG11 model), the range provides system designers and engineers with flexible options to meet the evolving needs of UHD broadcast. Even the compact 0.7/2.9 model delivers reliable 12Gb/s performance over 45 metres.

“As broadcasters and integrators transition to higher-bandwidth video formats, cable infrastructure becomes mission-critical,” said Carmen Wagner, production manager at Van Damme. “Our new UHD Vision range offers the robust, precision-engineered coaxial solutions required to carry 12G-SDI signals with absolute confidence.”

All models feature Van Damme’s industry-respected construction, offering low loss, precision 75 Ohm impedance, and LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jackets for compliance and safety in modern broadcast facilities. Transmission length guidelines include safety factors to reflect real-world deployments, ensuring maximum reliability under professional conditions.
