USA - Chris Tomlin, ‘America’s Worship Leader’, as worship-music website The Christian Beat called him, recently returned to Nashville’s 20,000-seat Bridgestone Arena for his seventh annual Good Friday Nashville concert benefiting foster care and adoption crises through For Others, a non-profit foundation created by Tomlin and his wife, Lauren.
Since its inception in 2017, the event has become a record-setting evening, smashing attendance records as the largest ticketed Christian concert in the history of the venue. UAE - MNK Studios supports artists and musicians looking to hone their talents in a professional studio environment. Initially, plans called for building multiple recording studios, but the focus shifted to constructing multiple live rooms for rehearsals and other activities in addition to two recording studios, all catering to artists as well as production companies and corporate clients. Flexibility in the audio system was a priority to maximize studio usage, which is why MNK built its system using Dante-enabled products.

South Africa - Bethel Music, one of the foremost names in the contemporary worship movement in the US, recently headed to South Africa for a two-night concert series. Alongside a much-anticipated appearance in Pretoria, Bethel Music led an evening of song and praise with the Henry Pike Worship Band at Meerendal Wine Estate, Cape Town.
The event, organised by Tygerberg Radio, required a powerful sound system, capable of achieving sufficient coverage across a crowd of up to 17,000 fans in an open-air setting. The Netherlands - Ampco Flashlight Sales, Martin Audio’s long-serving Dutch distributor, chose a classic venue for the hosting of their own showcase event.
They invited a range of audio professionals, ranging from system integrators to freelance engineers and music venues to the Gebr. De Nobel, a multi-room industrial concert venue in Leiden, originally owned by the Nobel brothers.

USA - The Savannah Music Festival, now in its 34th season, is one of Georgia’s most celebrated music events, showcasing performances by legends and newcomers spanning jazz, classical, roots, and blues genres.

UK - Rycote has announced the launch of two additional microphones designed for the film production, sport broadcast and field recording applications.
The range has been expanded, both in the pencils format with a new Figure of 8 microphone called BD-10 and the shotgun design with a long version named HC-35.
The BD-10 is particularly made for MS recordings within the application of field recording, mainly applied on ambient and dialogues, while the HC-35 is a long shotgun microphone developed for sport broadcast, a wide outdoor shot and dialogue on a script TV.

UK - By 2027, more than 100m AA batteries will have been saved from landfills, according to Shure. The number is based on data calculations from customers worldwide in music production, theatre, touring, education, business, government, houses of worship, and more.
With previous technology, disposable batteries were used to power microphones and transmitter packs. And audio engineers would frequently replace batteries – even when those batteries still had power – to ensure an uninterrupted performance with fresh batteries.
However, new innovation from Shure has converted those products to rechargeable options, creating significantly less waste. In fact, for David’s Byrne’s American Utopia Broadway show, the monitor engineer estimated they saved about 21,000 AA batteries from being disposed of in landfills because they used Shure’s rechargeable system
