USA - Nemetschek North America has announced that a localised Portuguese 2010 version of Vectorworks Fundamentals and Renderworks software is now available in Brazil. Vectorworks Architect and Landmark software are expected to be released in January 2010.

This new power control offers the possibility to save power in installations and help the environment. At the same time, using the power control in your installation minimizes the risk of fire, the company says.

Installed with a Neets Control System, the relay box is designed to cut power from the projector, amplifier, DVD and other audio-visual equipment when the devices are not in use. UK - SSE Sales has announced the launch of a new custom bracket for ProSight Inclinometer systems. The bracket enables a ProSight SLST Laser Sender Unit to be mounted onto L-Acoustics K1 arrays.

What makes the bracket particularly useful, say SSE, is that it mounts the sender unit onto the side of K1 cabinets: this means it can be mounted on any cabinet in the array, so in a configuration with K1 SUBS at the top of the array, ProSight can now be mounted on the top K1 cabinet, beneath the subs.

Following their recent purchase of K1, Jands Production Services in Australia has already purchased four ProSight Touring kits and have called it "the most practical inclimometer system available on the market for use with K1".

Taiwan - GlacialTech is launching the GlacialLight GL-BR20 (5W)AC-LED high brightness globe for AC light sockets. The long life LED bulb (20,000hrs) has a high luminous efficacy and reduces environmental degradation through cost effective energy savings and CO2 reductions, says the company.

The BR20 lights use standard E26/E27 type, GU10 type and B22 type sockets. There are two models released - one for 110V AC and the other one for 220V AC. The sockets are specially designed so the LED can fit any lamp fixture. The GL-BR20 LED lamp is used for home security, flood lighting, spot lighting, accent lighting and local lighting, and with the special AC LED, it does not require a DC driver, reducing costs considerably.
