Germany - At Prolight+Sound, SGM unveiled a new powerful all-in-one 1250W LED luminaire fixture: The P-10. It carries the functionalities of a wash light, a strobe light, a flood light, a pixel light and a blinder with a non-fading continuous output, making it a multi-purpose LED fixture.

Germany - Funktion-One has added to its extensive range of bass reflex speakers with the release of the BR132. The British loudspeaker manufacturer launched the impressive 32in unit at Prolight + Sound 2017 in Frankfurt.
The BR132, which utilises Powersoft’s high power M-Force linear transducer and M-Drive amplifier along with Funktion-One’s own cone, surround and enclosure technology, is around 40% smaller than the horn-loaded F132, which debuted at the show last year. The 32in bass reflex speaker delivers elastic bass and super-low frequency extension and is particularly effective in applications requiring deep, strong and well defined sub-bass at close range.
The BR132’s development was pushed forward by a requirement at Output in New York.

Germany - DiGiCo and Waves have announced a new method of integration that will allow users to maximize the potential for additional new features on both the Waves and SD platforms.
DiGiCo SD consoles will be able to integrate with a Waves Multirack system, which is running on an external PC, while maintaining the high level of integration both companies’ clients have come to rely on.
This integration will continue to use the low latency Waves I/O interface built into SD consoles for audio routing and will also include the existing standard session, snapshot and plug-in control for advance, faster and smooth show control and automation. Fresh off the blocks are a new IP55 haze generator, the ATMe WPE, and new accessories in the form of the Round Floor Pocket, RFP 239, complete with updated controller, RFP-CB, plus MDG’s unique D-Verter 239.

South Africa - Cape Town-based event technical solution company, C&S, has invested in an additional 12 Robe BMFL Blade fixtures to complement its existing stock purchased from DWR Distribution. The BMFLs have been out on rental and have never been back at the office since.
Donald Clark, owner of C&S now has a total of 24 BMFLs, and the demand is so great that he sometimes has to rent in units from other companies. On one occasion, he had 66 units on a show.
“I love the Robe BMFL,” Donald commented. “With the Blade, it makes it useful to do a variety of things. The lighting designers are loving them too because of the power of the fixture.”

Germany - Frankfurt provides a launchpad for the Schertler Group’s latest products, as Roy and Teddy are added to the company’s regularly expanding portfolio.
Roy is Schertler’s new top-of-the-range combo amplifier for acoustic instruments. The 400W, 7-channel amp provides a powerful yet lightweight system that is perfect for both stage and studio. Roy includes four input channels with various mic / instrument combinations; inserts (as on a professional mixer); three-band EQ and phantom power; an additional unbalanced instrument input channel; a stereo input channel for playback devices and an FX return / additional input channel.
