UK / USA - Software developer Stardraw.com has announced two new members of the growing community of certified programmers for its application, Stardraw Control: they are James Heliker who runs TVBR Studios in San Bernadino, California, and Joel Hauxwell of Total Audio Solutions in the UK.

TVBR Studios started life as a music recording and production facility, but has branched out in the last three years into control system design and integration. "I first started experimenting with Stardraw Control for my own purposes in the context of music production, where system control is surprisingly important," explained Heliker. "I then started looking at different markets for control and built a client base."

USA - Renkus-Heinz has announced the appointment of Rik Kirby as vice president of operations. In the newly created position, Kirby will oversee production, purchasing, engineering, quality control and other key business areas.

UK - Audio compression specialist APT has announced that Quentin Howard, chief executive of Digital One and president of the WorldDMB Forum, has joined its board of directors in a non-executive capacity.

USA - Wybron has appointed Bryan Steele as Northeastern regional sales manager for the company. Steele replaces Miles Dudgeon who previously held the position and was promoted to director of marketing at Wybron.

Prior to joining Wybron, Steele was the Rosco Laboratories account executive in charge of covering the northeastern United States. He is currently an artist in residence at the University of New Haven.

USA - Production Resource Group (PRG) has named Mickey Curbishley senior vice president of its concert touring group. He will work out of PRG's offices in Greenford, UK, and Los Angeles.

Curbishley most recently served as director of sales at the Greenford location, where he oversaw business development and client support for concert tours and special events. He began his career as a lighting technician for concert headliners including Elton John, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, George Harrison, Frank Sinatra, Judas Priest, and AC/DC. He later managed the London office of Light and Sound Design (LSD), which was acquired in 1998 by PRG.

Since joining 110PRO Ltd, she has been busy working on research, business development and preparing for the 2008 Olympics.

A native Chinese, Li Xiuming studied at the North China Institute of Aerospace Engineering and the renowned Hebei University in Baoding. She speaks not only English and French, but also Japanese.

USA - Aviom has announced several additions to its global sales team.

Jonathan 'JP' Parker, who has been serving as Aviom's sales director in the Southeastern US, is now assuming the role of director of international sales, Asia Pacific.

Mark Meding, who has been Aviom's sales director for the Northeast US and Canada, will now assume Parker's former Southeastern territory and will be in charge of sales throughout the entire East Coast of the US.

The Canadian territory is now back in the hands of Aviom's longtime international sales director, Joel Brazy, who also continues to oversee the company's European sales efforts.

The Aviom sales force is managed by national sales director Gary Lee, under the leadership of Aviom's new vice president of sales & marketing, Mike McGinn.

USA - Symetrix has appointed Dallas Dougherty to the newly-created position of product and training specialist/field engineer. He will spend most of his time travelling to help existing and potential customers understand the applications for Symetrix technology, listen to their needs and identify solutions. While he will work with all of the Symetrix brands, his main focus will be training and support for SymNet.

Dougherty has experience in every market Symetrix covers - recording, live sound/production and installed sound. His studio days were spent at Ironwood Studios and the Tank, as well as being owner of Pink on Vinyl Productions.

USA - Furman Sound has appointed John Benz as the new marketing manager for Furman Sound, LLC. Benz has served Furman for more than two years in the marketing department, and has previously owned his own marketing services company.

Furman's former marketing manager, Dave Dilitkanich, will remain with the company for six weeks to assist in transitioning the position to Mr. Benz. He will then be leaving to pursue an MBA at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

UK - After a successful eight months with Stage Technologies, Gerry Jeatt has been appointed operations manager. Jeatt joined the company in October 2006 primarily to oversee large UK and international projects. Denmark - Martin Professional has announced the appointment of Lars Kirstein Andersen as executive vice president - sales and marketing. He will assume the position on 1 September.

Andersen comes to Martin from Danish audio and video company Bang & Olufsen where he served as director of the company's Northern European region. Prior to that, he was employed in the IT industry with his primary focus on sales and marketing.
