The District Stage deployed an all-Nexo system with a Yamaha Rivage PM7 digital mixing system

Indonesia - Held this year on 3-5 October at Gambir Expo, Jakarta, the Synchronize Festival features a diverse lineup of artists across multiple genres from traditional, indie, to modern commercial pop acts.

The festival’s District Stage featured a lineup including Efek Rumah Kaca, Barasuara, Bernadya, nostalgic 2000s acts such as Kangen Band and Letto, and a much-anticipated performance by Guruh Gipsy, who combined 96 channels of traditional and modern instruments to make it one of the most complex setups of the weekend for the sound team at Jakarta-based event services company DSS Rental.

The District Stage deployed an all-Nexo system with a Yamaha Rivage PM7 digital mixing system, with support throughout from members of the Yamaha Musik Indonesia Distributor (YMID) technical team.

A Geo M12 line array was configured with 12 boxes per side as the main speakers, supported by 14 x MSUB18, four RS18, and four LS18 subwoofers configured as sub-array, along with six PS15R2 point source speakers for front and side-fills.

Operating in passive mode with amplification and processing from Nexo NXAMP Powered TD Controllers, the Geo M12 system achieved clarity and uniform coverage, with the main speaker throw reaching approximately 70m. Measurements at the front-of-house position, located 35m from the stage, averaged between 98-103 dBA, delivering impactful yet controlled sound for both performers and audiences.

System design and tuning were led by Ahmad Yusuf Ardisasmita and Ryan Andriesyah, working closely with Edmonds Angkawijaya, Gabriel Gunawan, and Dwivaldo Desprialdi from YMID’s technical team to ensure optimal performance throughout the three-day festival. Their expertise and meticulous preparation ensured the Nexo system delivered a natural and powerful sound experience.

According to Ryan, the Nexo NS-1 simulation software proved highly accurate when compared to the actual on-site measurements, and the Geo M12 system required only minimal EQ adjustments to achieve the desired target curve.

“The Geo M12 system proved its versatility, providing even coverage and natural sound reinforcement that met the demands of every act performing on the District Stage.”
