The National Maritime hosts a wide range of public and corporate events

UK - The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London, has recently installed a Wharfedale Pro WLA-1A System as part of a new audio upgrade. The project was delivered in partnership with Stage Concepts, following a successful on-site demonstration of the WLA-1A System in November 2024.

Part of Royal Museums Greenwich, the National Maritime Museum is one of the world’s leading centres for maritime history and heritage, hosting a wide range of public and corporate events across its historic site.

Following the demonstration, the museum’s team agreed that the WLA-1A System was the right fit for their requirements. The final installation includes14 × WLA-112A / WLA-115A, two WLA-121SUBA and eight WLA-1 Common Fly Frame.

Brett Newton, product specialist at Stage Concepts, comments: “The WLA-1A System from Wharfedale Pro is an exceptional choice for this type of installation, delivering uniform coverage and outstanding clarity. Spoken word, vocals, and music all come through with impressive definition.”

The system is now permanently installed within the museum’s new event space and is being used for corporate functions and various activities across the grounds.

Chris Kruger, senior audio-visual technician at the National Maritime Museum adds, “Sound system is in and sounds great! Big improvement in the sound - the directors are happy here, so thanks for all your help.”
