UK - The Institute of Sound, Communications & Visual Engineers (ISCVE) has announced the seminar line-up for ISCVEx 2026, taking place at Coombe Abbey on 17–18 March 2026. The programme brings together leading voices from across the AV, communications, and security sectors, tackling some of the most pressing topics facing professionals today. Registration is now open.
Paul Davidson of Teams 9 will present The Criticality of Cybersecurity in Voice Communication: Preparing for Martyn’s Law. Drawing on a long career in the Metropolitan Police and UK security services, Davidson will explore the implications of Martyn’s Law for ISCVE members, focusing on cybersecurity risks in voice communication and practical steps organisations can take to prepare.
The Hopkins-Baldwin Seminar will be presented by University of Edinburgh’s Dr Brian Shannan on Integrating Deaf Voices in Educational Design: An Automated Alternative to Loop and Auracast Systems for the AI Era. Shannan will present a new approach to assistive listening that integrates digital sound, speech-to-text and AI tools, showing how embedding deaf perspectives into design ensures truly inclusive educational environments.
The Warren-Barnett Seminar, Specifications – Truth or Lie? will be presented by Mark Bailey, MBAV Ltd. From exaggerated product claims to misleading specifications, Bailey will highlight the challenges AV professionals face in separating fact from fiction and offer guidance on how to evaluate manufacturers’ credentials with confidence.
Finally, the Walker Seminar, UNVRS Nightclub Ibiza – Venue Acoustics and Audio Design will be presented by Adam Page of Vanguardia (a Buro Happold Company). Page will look inside the design of UNVRS, a project that demanded an immersive, high-impact sound environment within a venue that remains virtually inaudible beyond its walls.
