Casa Focaccia in Windhoek

Namibia - A vibrant new eatery located in the Windhoek’s popular Hilltop Village entertainment area, Casa Focaccia offers rustic Italian food. Stage Audio Works (SAW) Namibia designed and installed a solution centred around Audac loudspeakers and amplification, to deliver consistent quality audio across both the indoor and outdoor areas of the restaurant.

The brief, undertaken in collaboration with Chamberlain Architects, was to implement a professional-quality background music system that is intuitive to control and capable of streaming music directly from online platforms, allowing restaurant staff to manage playlists from their phones or a dedicated computer.

“The client requested a straightforward background music system that could easily be managed day-to-day by the team at Casa Focaccia,” says Udo Stehle, senior sales consultant at SAW Namibia. “We focused on delivering a system that complemented the restaurant’s design aesthetic and ensured balanced audio in every area.”

The SAW Namibia team specified a compact yet powerful all-in-one Audac solution, featuring a pair of Audac ATEO6M wall-mounted loudspeakers, an Audac MFA216 amplifier and an Audac NMP40 SourceCon streaming module. The loudspeakers were installed using Audac’s CleverMount+ system.

The result is rich, even sound coverage throughout the restaurant’s dining areas. Further, the Audac Touch app gives the management team full control of playback and source selection via a smartphone or PC. “The ability to control the system from multiple devices makes it user-friendly,” notes Stehl. “It’s the perfect balance of functionality and simplicity, ideal for a hospitality environment where ease of use and the ability to shape the atmosphere with the right background music are key.”

From the SAW team’s perspective, the project was straightforward yet rewarding. “One of the main challenges was coordinating with other contractors to ensure our installation could proceed smoothly once their work was complete,” explains Stehl. “We wanted to avoid any dust or debris affecting the equipment, so timing of the installation was key. Fortunately, the system design was compact, which made the process efficient and clean.”
