Germany - HOF will launch its new Post Dolly at Prolight+Sound 2022. The Post Dolly offers a variety of possibilities to create different structures and layouts on stage. It can be used for single lamps, but also as a stacked dolly with, for example, 1m standard conical tubes between the dollies to create different levels.
The components can be mounted standing or hanging on the 15mm plate. Further, the user can mount 2-point, 3-point or 4-point trusses in sizes 290mm or 400mm on the dolly in different positions, using the optional adapter plate.
Likewise, the MLT trusses can be positioned upright in centre or off-centre positions. Multiple Post dollies can be combined to create various constructions. The components remain in place during the show and during transport, saving a lot of time. The wheels are black & grey and therefore almost invisible on stage.

UK - Avolites has been chosen by systems integrators Visual Systems to power the lighting control at The Londoner hotel. Billed as the world’s first “super boutique” hotel by owner Edwardian Hotels and located on the southwest corner of Leicester Square, the hotel has quickly become one of the few hotels to devote as much thought to the behind-the-scenes audiovisual fabric.
“Not many hotels I've seen in my 30 years in the industry have this amount of AV equipment,” says Ray Sappal, a director with Visual Systems and The Londoner’s AV project manager. “Ballrooms very rarely have in-house production lighting. In this case we selected and installed an integrated house light control with the production lighting control to give the lighting engineer complete control over the whole room via the lighting desk.”

For the headline bands especially, the artists and musicians needed to be able to move around the stage freely without being tethered down by a cable. The same applied for the backline and monitor tech crews that need to be able to move around the wing and backstage area with ease, meaning a wireless microphone system was essential for this production.

Andrew Wrixon, technical manager for Kirklees Town Halls, explains: “At Huddersfield Town Hall, we were motivated to buy a new projector as our existing one was 10-15 years old and failing in terms of light output. We host Council conference events using visual presentations that could be difficult to see with full stage and house lights on. Also we’ve increased the range of activity in the hall to include the

The church invited a number of vendors to demonstrate different systems. One of those invited was Troy Choi of Solid Sound Solution, who demonstrated a Coda Audio N-RAY system, having deployed CODA systems on two previous very challenging church proje

The mic retains the “point and shoot” simplicity of the Mini K line-up, as well as the familiar compact form factor that makes it simple to position where many larger mics struggle to fit.
“If all of your microphones sound the same, you'll be in for some rough sessions,” says Roswell Pro Audio founder, Matt McGlynn. “Painters have many different colours. Recording artists and engineers should, too. We call this idea 'sonic diversity' and we design microphones to deliver that promise. Each of the Roswell microphones has a unique sonic signature. USA - The Urshan College 2022 Live Recording was a day-long worship event and celebration of praise music at The Sanctuary church outside Saint Louis. Lighting designer Gabreil Loera tapped into the inspirational qualities of this classic hue when lighting this event, which featured a live concert that was recorded for later distribution.
Loera colorised the stage in teal and white at the start of the event, creating one of his favourite looks of the show. (The other was at the end of the evening when he pushed all his lights out into the crowd to finish the concert with a flourish.) In between, he immersed the crowd and stage in colour washes, many in various shades of teal. At times, he created a blanket of teal over the entire stage, seeming to embrace the large number of performers on it in a rejuvenating sea of hope.

UK - Ever since The Who reformed for the first Teenage Cancer Trust show at the Royal Albert Hall in the year 2000, under the patronage of Roger Daltrey CBE, this seven-day event has thrown up some outstanding performances. This year, the show returned for its 20th edition following a three-year break.
A constant throughout has been the event’s exclusive sound production company, Entec Live. Entec worked alongside show producer, Des Murphy, and production manager, Julie Chennells (of Ginger Owl) - the latter having been ever present since the first event in 2000.
Once again, the experienced Entec crew, under freelance project manager Matt Grounds, were equal to the challenges thrown up by the venue’s acoustic quirks, and varied line-up. Reflecting on the event, Grounds says: “We constantly review our spec to ensure it best fulfils the production’s needs, and th
