Nigeria - With an audience estimated at close to three quarters of a million people, The Experience is an inter-denominational gospel concert held annually in Lagos. Convened and hosted by Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the colossal event debuted in December 2006 and is now the largest musical concert in Africa, featuring guest artistes from numerous countries leading the crowd in worship and praise.

UK - Following the success of last year’s open day, Nitelites will again be hosting an RCF showcase at the Sage Gateshead on 27 March between 10am-5pm.
The event will feature a full demonstration of four key new systems. The HDL30-A, NX32-A and NX45-A will be rigged and presented to sound professionals for the first time in the UK, while the smaller HDL6-A - shown in prototype last year - will now be fired up as a full working model.

Audio, has announced the appointment of Leandro Jose Arguello to the position of retail sales manager - Latin America. Arguello’s appointment commenced in January 2018. He is based at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Miami.
In his new position, Arguello will be responsible for driving retail sales for the MI marketplace by developing customized strategies for each Latin American country. UK - In one of the company’s biggest ever projects in the UK, J&C Joel, helped keep sound in check by installing their acoustic solutions in the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s performance spaces.
The £57m facility is an international music and drama academy, which is part of Birmingham City University. It has over 500 students on undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes, as well as a junior department of over 200 students. Spain - Clair Brothers new distribution partner in Spain, VTècnics, recently upgraded its touring P.A. to the new C12 system immediately following their decision to partner with the loudspeaker company. And they’ve wasted no time putting it to the test.
For The Moto Grand Prix World Championship, VTècnics was called on for the first time to provide full production of the Spanish leg. The integrations, with QLab by Figure 53 and TTA Stagetracker II by TTA, as well as with Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) systems in either VST or AU formats, demonstrate that the DS100 is open to integration to deliver the vast benefits of the d&b Soundscape, says the company.

USA - Clair Global has substantially increased its Optocore inventory as the production company giants gear up for a major 2018 tour.
Having used Optocore DD series solutions for some time, mainly with their vast inventory of DiGiCo SD series mixing consoles, the Lititz-based company has added a further six DD32R-FX network converters and pair of DD2FR-FX AES/EBU.
Clair Global console dept manager, Jonathan Shober, stated that previously the company had enjoyed a brief experience with an LX4 system prior to utilising Optocore with a DiGiCo D5. “Our clients continually ask us to push the envelope,” he says. “With regard to the new tour, it was suggested that an audio network be used to distribute the signals to multiple zones. UK - An investment in a pair of 7,000lmPanasonic projectors has enhanced the University of Birmingham’s drama students’ adaptation of the book Looking Backward by Edward Bellamy.
With the requirement for a projector that could achieve a high level of output to cut through stage lighting plus project onto two different surfaces during performance, the University of Birmingham went to Stage Electrics for guidance.

USA - Dallas-based technology design firm Idibri was chosen to design a new sound system for the Alamodome, the City of San Antonio’s 65,000-seat multi-purpose facility.
The PA specified was the L-Acoustics’ K2. Installed by LD Systems’ integration division, the new system is now composed of 76 K2 boxes and a dozen KS28 subwoofers powered by LA8 and LA12AX amplified controllers, with fill support from X8 coaxials on the club level.
