Ahead of their Download performance on Sunday 10 June, Black Sabbath are to record their first album with their original line-up for 33 years. The 1968 incarnation of the band, which also includes guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward, will record new material with producer Rick Rubin. Founded in 1994, Woodend Arts is run by a collective of paid staff and volunteers. The Woodend Barn hosts a diverse programme of music, theatre, comedy, dance, film, children's events, art exhibitions and workshops.

AC-ET had previously supplied lighting equipment and a background music system to the Woodend Barn project for their cafe/bistro. At that stage, plans to further develop the Barn were already underway, and more recently, additional funding enabled the investment in a new sound and cinema system.

DBs Music has opened a new music technology training centre in partnership with Cornwall College, choosing GS-R24M recording mixers for four production suites and several ZED-10FX. An addition to DBs' existing Plymouth centre, the new facility offers a variety of new training programmes in Music Performance and Music Production, with plans to add university-level courses in the future. All four GS-R24 mixers have been installed into bespoke furniture, connected to 27" iMacs with Pro Tools and Logic. The new system consists of seven Kara cabinets flown with two SB18 subs per side, with a centre array of 10 Kiva speakers. The system is driven by LA4 and LA8 amplified controllers.

"We chose the new Kara system because we needed to improve the coverage and power output of our main PA, due to the more demanding shows we are putting on," says the National Theatre's house technician, Kai Priddy. The band's front of house engineer Matthew Kettle is a long-term Sennheiser user. Working with the Arctic Monkeys since 2009, he has been happy to continue the relationship.
