The Japanese office is the Italian company’s fourth, joining its headquarters in Scandicci, its US business in Flanders (New Jersey) and its China representative office in Beijing.
Spearheading Powersoft’s expansion in Japan is its newly appointed market development manager, Haruka Murayama, a pro-audio veteran who brings nine years’ industry experience to the role. Murayama most recently spent five years in sales with Bose Professional’s Japanese subsidiary, where she became familiar with X Series, Powersoft’s high-powered live sound amplifier platform, and previously worked for the Japanese distributor of Harman, Shure and DPA Microphones.

Having decided that an outright purchase was the way forward, they consulted with Bradford-based su

Europe - Yamaha Corporation has announced the RM-WAP-16, a new 16 channel wireless access point (WAP) which doubles the previously available number of channels from a single unit.
Before this, two eight channel RM-WAP-8 units were required for nine or more channels of Yamaha's RM-W wireless microphones. With its increased channel count, the RM-WAP-16 offers greater flexibility, saves installation space and required PoE ports, and is more cost effective for systems where a higher number of wireless channels is required.
In addition, with the latest firmware (V2.0), the new low-latency mode of the entire RM series of wired and wireless microphones allows them to be used for voice lift applications with appropriate signal processors, such as the Yamaha MRX7-D or DME7. In this configuration up to 64 RM-W series wireless microphones can be used in parallel using four RM-WAP

None of this was lost on entrepreneur and club owner Eric Gussin, a world traveller whose Trio nightclub in Charleston, South Carolina was enjoying a reputation among locals and visitors as one of that city’s hot spots.
“Charlotte is a great city with a thriving nightlife and dance music community, but they’ve really not had a place to dance until now,” says Gussin, who is bringing Trio Charleston’s vibe to the much larger Charlotte venue. “Giving up something that’s been part of your life for such a long time is certainly going to feel strange, and I can’t imagine not having it in my life,” she concedes. “But while I will miss the camaraderie, I feel comfortable that I am leaving the company in good hands, with a blend of experienced people and new blood coming in to keep things fresh.

Europe - Many applications require cables with enhanced flexibility - which in turn may affect the durability of a cable. With these facts in mind, Sommer cable has developed the SC-Mercator Cat.6a Proflex network cable with a dual jacket construction to combine maximum flexibility with ultimate ruggedness.
The cable, with its outer diameter of 8.7mm (0.34“), features a cold-flexible soft PVC jacket that is extruded in two work steps. The outer jacket is applied like a tube to keep the wire pairs in a tight position even when in motion. The second, inner jacket serves as an extra protection against abrasion, pressure or kinks or as a reset force to maintain flexibility - for very good reeling properties and only little memory effect without causing annoying loops and trip hazards. The S/FTP construction with the high cross-section of AWG24/7 also works without hesitation o

UK - Following significant upgrades to the Great Oak Stage in 2022, American Express presents BST Hyde Park relaxed comfortably into its new setting this year. The stage dominates the Royal Park - now firmly established, after once being considered ‘unworkable’ as a concert site, surrounded as it is by the well-heeled residents of Mayfair and Knightsbridge.
Much of this is because Martin Audio’s tightly controllable MLA PA array - the result of its advanced DISPLAY optimisation software - has been ever-present since AEG Presents took over the Park lease in 2013, making offsite noise pollution largely a thing of the past.
With system engineering back in the capable hands of Toby Donovan, who aside from last year has worked every BST, the site sound provided its usual exemplary experience for au
