Concert organisers The Sanctuary Group gave members of Iron Maiden the night off from their current world tour (for which ML Executives are providing sound equipment worldwide) to play the small but exclusive Embassy Club in London's Mayfair district alongside stars Kim Mazelle, Matt Sage, and Paul Rodgers of Bad Company.

Iron Maiden's own sound engineer, Doug Hall, was flown back from the tour for one night only to take his place behind the console. MLsoundadvice opted for a small L-Acoustics dV-Dosc system, with two DV subs and three DV- Dosc per side.

Over 370 bands have entered, sending their tracks to be assessed by the Harman judges. The rules of the competition forbid bands with fewer than three members from entering, so over 1100 band members are currently awaiting the results of the final.

Orme joins A.C. from Martin Professional, where he fulfilled a technical sales and support role for the Mach speaker brand in the UK. Soundcraft's Norwegian distributors LydRommet AS secured the prestigious order through quick reactions: when the theatre's existing digital console failed, spectacularly taking out all the HF drivers on the house PA system, LydRommet's Espen Andersen was able to supply the 32-fader Soundcraft Vi6 within days, according to sound engineer Roy Knudsen.
