Germany - With the release of the impression X5 wash light, German manufacturer GLP – German Light Products provided one of the most high-profile product launches of the past year.
At this year's Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt, GLP will showcase various extensions to the series at their booth (12.1 C30/31). As different as the devices are, they all share the X5 features. Italy - Outline has announced that their Newton audio processor has been awarded a European patent [N° EP3776932B1].
This qualification follows the awarding of an Italian patent for Newton in 2020 - N° 102018000004143 - and is the result of significant investment and effort on the part of the Brescia-based company. It is actually the third patent awarded to Newton, the other covering the WFIR filter topology that is a key factor in its audio performance.
The company is continuing to develop the Newton platform and in related news, Outline is going to introduce a completely new multi-platform control software for Newton, once again entirely conceived and created at Outline HQ. This control suite is focused on enhancing the user-machine interaction and making life even easier for FOH and system techs. It will be available in Spring 2023.

The main features that make this possible are: replacement of the proprietary power/data cable and connector with touring Industry standard power and data connectors, a new, low-profile clamp and bracket system which enables creation of shapes as well as flexible, quick attachment to truss, and new firmware which provides individual addressing of each VPL as well as sACN universe priority handling.
Because of its proprietary LED design, the Touring VPL can reproduce high visibility pixel content even in high ambient light environments. USA - Meyer Sound has announced an expanded presence at the 2023 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, bringing additional personnel and resources to showcase products and technologies for the touring, recording/post-production, and immersive audio markets.
This year’s NAMM Show is scheduled as a one-time-only springtime event, with exhibits from 13-15 April. Meyer Sound can be found on the show floor at exhibit space #17215 (ACC North Level 2).

USA - The Tower LF44 is the newest product to join 1 Sound’s catalogue, furthering the application possibilities of The Tower Series.
The LF44 is a low frequency column array loudspeaker, meant to perform with the Tower LCC44 or LCC84 as a low frequency extension. The LF44 is the same construction and look as the LCC44, therefore all the LCC44 accessories are applicable to the LF44. It can be deployed in a flown array with the LCC44 and LCC84 or can be wall mounted independently.
This module consists of four high-powered, low frequency drivers, and has a bandwidth of 70 Hz - 200 Hz. The LF44 uses an independent amp channel with proprietary DSP. Like all other 1 Sound speakers, the LF44 is IP55 and saltwater resistant with custom colours available.

UK - TLS will feature its new PixNet range of multi-protocol LED controllers at PLASA Focus Leeds, 9-10 May, Royal Armouries.
This compact and powerful LED pixel interface will control up to 8160 RGB pixels from a unit that measures 110mm x 85mm x 28mm and weighs 215 grams. The PixNet accepts Artnet, sACN and converts the data to SPI, DMX or TTL to control digital LED pixels that are either clocked or unclocked.
Control units are powered via POE or by a local 5-24 Volt DC power supply, they are compatible with all major industry pixel mapping software including Madrix, Chromateq, LED Mapper and Light Jams, and will also work as a 4 universe DMX node.

Germany - The MLT Pre Rig Truss Series from HOF has a new member to complete the series: the MLT Three.
The MLT series now consists of the MLT Three, MLT Two, MLT One, MLT Zero and the MLT Frame. The MLT Three has no closed head frame and is open at the bottom. This makes it easier to mount moving lights or video modules in the truss.
In addition, the dolly of the MLT Three Pre Rig Truss has extended telescopic legs that allow the user to mount complete video modules, including the hanging frame, in the truss and leave them in the truss during transportation.
A rail system is optionally available for the MLT Three, which makes mounting the units in the pre rig truss even easier: the rail system is a double rail system.
