Norway/UK - Norway's projectiondesign has recruited Matt Horwood as regional manager for the UK and Ireland. Horwood will be based in the UK office and work with Iain Ambler to build on the company's success into the specialist market and add focus to the Pro AV channel.

Horwood arrives at projectiondesign from Epson UK, where he had led a sales team covering specialist resellers and end users in the AV channel. Prior to that, he spent five years working in sales for the Pro AV reseller Reflex.

"I wanted to focus specifically on the AV channel and am very taken by the 'value add' and 'high quality' specialisms that are key components of projectiondesign's established brand," comments Horwood. UK - Lighting rental company HSL's busy project management team has been boosted with the arrival of Dave Singleton. He has previously worked with Kave Theatre Services in Sussex and also as a freelance production and project manager.

Singleton had worked for HSL whilst freelancing, which proved a fruitful experience for both parties ostensibly leading to this permanent appointment.

UK - With the conference line-up for the Audio Engineering Society's 128th Convention in London now confirmed, some distinguished guests are beginning to make their way to London for the associated conferences (22-25 May) and exhibition (23-25 May), both of which are taking place this year at the Novotel Convention Centre in Hammersmith.

Japanese music technology research scientist and gifted public speaker Masataka Goto has now been confirmed as the Keynote Speaker at the Convention's opening ceremony on 22 May, and the Convention's final day will be graced by an appearance from Sir George Martin CBE, who will be accepting an Honorary Membership from the AES before introducing one of the afternoon seminars on the final day of the Convention.

USA - Martin Professional has confirmed that a deal has been reached between Inner Circle Distribution (ICD) and Martin Professional, Inc. (MP) that sees industry veterans and ICD owners Nick Freed, Noel Duncan and Gary Mass trading in their circle for a yellow triangle and rejoining the Martin US team.

During their time at Inner Circle Distribution, Freed, Duncan and Mass, all of whom have previous work experience at Martin US, emerged as key players in the US rental market.
