The venue's staff have a good understanding of Zero 88 control desks so it naturally came down to either a Solution XL or a Orb XF as their upgrade options.
After much discussion about the benefits of both desks, the greater capability of the Zero 88 Orb XF was the overriding factor and the Arts Centre asked Illuminate Design to provide them with the desk and a pair of touch screen monitors.

Kubanka's brief was to highlight the music and various mapped video projections appearing on the ice during the 22 minute pre-show multimedia son et lumiere.
