The company, which became an L-Acoustics rental agent last year with the purchase of a Kudo large format line source system, has taken delivery of 48 K1 large format line source cabinets, 24 K1-SB subwoofers, an additional 36 Kudo cabinets and 32 SB28 subwoofers, plus 23 LA-RAK touring racks fitted with LA8 amplified controllers to drive the system.

The R16i/o 16mm 4.092m (W) x 2.304m (H) LED screen was installed at the main entrance of the PNP Multipurpose Centre. It was used to display important event information and visuals in clear, accurate colour, while a 2000:1 contrast ratio and 5000nits of brightness ensured excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. When Liverpool-based Adlib Audio moved into the corporate event business, the company required a PA system that fulfilled the very particular needs of that industry. The company bought its first K-array System in March 2009, quickly followed by an additional system.

"When Adlib moved into the corporate market we needed to retain our excellent reputation for supplying high quality equipment and service," says the company's AV manager, Tristan Bryant.

"Systems appropriate for rock'n'roll aren't necessarily suitable for corporate events because, when a client spends a large amount of money on beautifully dressing a room, the last thing they want is a lot of bulky sound equipment spoiling it."

The first six-part series, produced by independent company Gallowgate, has just finished and proved a prime time Saturday night hit for ITV. Lighting designer was Tom Kinane, with whom HSL has worked on many previous projects. The programme was directed by Nikki Parsons and recorded at Pinewood Studios' S-Stage. HSL's project manager was Sean McGlone.

To transmit feeds wirelessly during the weekly events taking place at the Meydan horse racetrack the company used the combination of receivers and transmitters from the UHF-R series. KORA Awards is the manifestation of an all-encompassing vision for Africa of the executive producer for the event, Ernest Adjovi and his dedication to overcoming the logistical demands of bringing a show of this scale to Burkina Faso.
