The scholarship will be awarded after the LDI tradeshow and may be used for the Hoist and Rigging Workshop held February 21-24, 2007 which includes instruction on hoist, rigging, truss and fall protection or the Advanced Hoist and Truss Workshop on February 23-24, 2007 that includes advanced instruction on truss and motors. The Scholarship package includes all instruction materials and fees, plus lodging, lunches, dinners, snacks and all transportation for the various workshop events. Both workshops culminate with a steak dinner and tour of the Tomcat USA facilities. The winner of the Scholarship will be responsible for transportation to and from Midland, Texas.

A new state-of-the-art scissorlift, extending to a dizzying 7.9 metres, has been a welcome addition to the Hippodrome's technical crew who will use the lift onstage for tasks such as focusing lighting and building scenery whenever a new production arrives in town.

In Altötting, a town of 13,000, he held a grand open air mass in the town's Kapellplatz Square with approximately 70,000 visitors. The lighting during the ceremony was done by the German production company Neumann & Muller.

The £16 million project included the reopening and re-branding of the City Halls and the old Fruitmarket, two historic live music venues dating back to the 1840s at the epicentre of Glasgow's Merchant City. In the UK Dance4Life is looking for support in two areas. They are hoping to secure a PA system for the Dance4Life UK School Tour, which starts on 23 October for four weeks. The Tour will visit 30 schools with the interactive Dance4Life performance, and would be looking to loan the equipment.

Musical director, Erica Tugwell collaborated with Trantec's sales manager, Gary Waywell, from the early planning stages and it was clear that the TS22's would provide the perfect solution.

Tugwell says: "We accessed the venue at seven: a cast of nine, a choir of nine, a four-piece amplified band, a brilliant, but inexperienced sound man, and we were on at 7.45 each night. The theatre - designed by renowned architect Bertie Crewe and completed in 1913 - has re-opened as a major receiving house following a £4 million facelift, with many of its original features restored to their 1913 splendour.

The project was managed for J&C Joel by contracts director Mark Taylor, who worked closely with Theatre Search's David Wilmore, main contractors Sapcote and architects Samsome Hall.

MTV's flagship show has been treated to many ground-breaking visual designs in the past and this year's set was no exception.

Director Hamish Hamilton and designers Mark Fisher and Anne Brahic along with lighting designer Allen Branton based the design on a flown array of 16 LED video screens of various sizes, each mounted in a classical ornate gilt picture frame and flown from CyberHoist CH1000 one tonne motors and CH500 half-ton motors. The screens, nine of which were constantly in motion throughout the show, were used to show a combination of Imag footage, specially created graphics, captions and visual effects.

Buddhists and residents alike are happy to hear the beautiful music through the Proel sound system. "Now the music from the new sound system enhances the solemnity of the atmosphere and keeps our minds peaceful," says people in the neighbourhoods.

The sound system is mainly composed by TPRK8P speakers - installed in the courtyard - and MO5T speakers for the sanctuary of this temple. The first one is a model from the TPRKMARKII series, featuring a new and unique design, while the second speaker is a two-way 60W monitor, supplied with mounting bracket.

Each week, two teams of celebrities led by renowned chefs Sergi Arola and Mario Sandoval, were tasked with preparing a menu for 25 people, whilst living together in a reality TV house for the duration of the programme. An iDR-8 16x16 matrix mixing processor and iDR-In and iDR-Out expander units were installed to manage the audio distribution to and from all the zones around the house set.

The D5T12 was delivered to Cardiff-based Stage Sound Services in August and was immediately whisked off to the tour's first show at the Theatre Royal Plymouth, on 1 September. Indeed, so hot off the press is the new console that the show was actually programmed on the prototype console at DiGiCo's UK offices.

Designed in association with theatrical sound designer Bobby Aitken, the new console is a hybrid of the already successful D5T digital theatre mixing system. The D5T12 provides 12 output faders, rather than the standard eight, to provide more VCF control within the standard console surface and footprint.
