UK - Following a successful stint in North America, the Australian Pink Floyd Show (TAPFS) tribute band has returned to the UK for its #DarkSide50 Tour 2023. This celebrates 50 years since Pink Floyd’s original Dark Side Of The Moon tour.
Significantly, the tour will also marry Martin Audio’s latest Wavefront Precision line array technology, as fielded by 22live - who handle all audio production for TAPFS -and the original rig conceived by Martin Audio founder, Dave Martin and Bill Kelsey for that 1973 tour.
The idea of recreating this for the cover band came from Chris Hewitt (of CH Vintage) who floated the idea back in April.

However, despite its rich history and impressive infrastructure, the management felt that the venue lacked a certain spark that could elevate its events to a new level. The event, held at Rycote’s brand new manufacturing facility in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, offered industry editors a hands-on experience that showcased the company’s commitment to British manufacturing excellence and innovation.
The event, which took place on 19 October 2023, brought together a team of industry journalists for an opportunity to meet with Rycote's diverse and international audio team, some of whom are based at the new facility, and some company representatives from both the US and Italy. France - Pélerinage Militaire International was born of peace and hope. In 1945, with the horrors of the just-ended Second World War still scarring the landscape, Mgr Jules Saliège, the Archbishop of Toulouse, created the idea of having a gathering of wounded military personnel in Lourdes, one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in the Roman Catholic faith. The concept quickly blossomed and within three years, soldiers from many nations, often former enemies, were coming together at the annual event to worship and heal wounds.

Australia - Canberra’s Belconnen Art Centre has chosen Prolights' EclDisplay range as the main lighting system for its innovative Window Gallery, an exhibition gallery overlooking the street. The space operates in 24-hour mode and is visible from the outside, attracting the attention of passers-by at all times of the day, meaning a suitable lighting system was required.
For this, Linda Buck - technical manager at Belconnen Art Centre - relied on Show Technology, Prolights' distributor in Australia, to select the new system. She explains: “The Window Gallery is a tricky space to deal with as you have light in the day coming through and then night time too. Villa Heftye began life as a bank back in 1864.
