China - L-Acoustics has reported that counterfeit ARCS II loudspeakers had been seized and destroyed following an investigation carried out by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC).
Working in conjunction with the GACC, L-Acoustics provided information to determine the authenticity of the suspicious products; those were later seized and dismantled at a recycling facility. GACC officials were present at the premises to attest that the stock had been destroyed and the materials - recycled, reports L-Acoustics.

Germany - GLP German Light Products is set to launch a new impression X5 fixture on 16 February.
Following a preview at the 2021 LDI exhibition in Las Vegas, the impression X5 features “a wealth of new and improved technology gained from countless hours of conversations with users combined with traditional German foresight and precision,” says the company.
GLP managing director Udo Künzler and product manager Michael Feldmann will lead the presentations at four different points during the day to capture every time zone, with the impression X5 presented in detail and followed by a live question and answer session afterwards.

These are available in Grand (12 SFP) and Petit (6 SFP) fibre transport platforms in order to convert and send multiple signal formats down a single fibre.
One leading international hire company, Major Tom, first saw the device at the ISE Show in Amsterdam, and after being given a system to demo they knew right away that this would become an essential tool in their inventory. “Why run six cables when you only need to run two,” reasons Major Tom project manager, Andy Banks. “It makes total sense even on non-festival shows; we can run PA returns on AVB, and then multiple consoles for headline and opening acts on just a single snake with a pair of fibres, rather than multiple runs.”

USA - Tonmeister and University of Saint Francis music technology director Miles Fulwider was recently tasked with recording a series of performances of more than 500 student violinists at the Suzuki Association of Utah (SAU).

Tel Aviv-based lighting and stage designers Omer Israeli and Dor Aichner, who are known as LEAD, utilised Claypaky Sharpy Beams, Mythos II and Scenius Unico fixtures for the event, which kicked off on the roof of Azrieli towers and concluded at Expo Tel Aviv.
