Italy - Made in Sud' (now in its fourth season) is an entertainment programme made in Naples CPTV, broadcast by RAI. The 2014 edition has proven once again a television event of high technical level, thanks to the production choices that have raised the show from the typical 'comedy' format to a big-budget show, with the characteristics of a prime-time program.

Following the success of previous editions, Sandro Carotenuto was confirmed for the third time director of photography of Made in Sud.

Carotenuto decided to use the DTS moving heads - NRG 1201 and above all the Raptors - in a 'spectacular' way.

LED screens greatly enhance the thrill of the 'sport of kings' for its followers, which is why a Lighthouse Technologies' LED screen has recently been installed at the Capanelle Ippodromo horse racing course in the Italian capital, Rome.

An ever-increasing number of racecourse owners are installing LED screens to bring punters closer to the action, as well as making information like the latest betting odds available to all. Lighthouse has been at the forefront of this trend, with installations at Kempton Park in the UK, Wuha in China, San Rossore in Italy and others in place for a number of years, as well as a more recent installation at Canterbury Park in Minnesota, USA.

They were controlled by a full-size grandMA2, a grandMA2 light, one VPU basic MK2 and two 12 x 2.3 kVA digital dimmers, all made by MA Lighting.

Hasubski said,"The basic idea was that the show had to convey emotions through video images. However it was important for the video not to become too dominant. It had to fit harmonically into the general design concept. During some parts of the concert, lights were used to enhance the video components. However it was necessary to avoid putting the artists into the shadow while doing so. On the other hand, the light also had to stand out from
