Kay, Booker and the Adlib team have worked with the Scissor Sisters since they were an club band. They too have experienced their meteoric rise to the heights of stardom with their powerful blend of electro club party-pop.
Dave Kay explained how the band's hectic schedule since the launch of the new Ta-Dah album in Trafalgar Square in September, meant they couldn't attend all of the short production rehearsal period in person at Lite Structures' facility in Wakefield. However, in terms of sound, they were replaced by the 'virtual' version - a series of top quality recordings produced during the preceding US tour.
Kay is touring the new Soundcraft Vi6 mixing console in parallel to his Sou
The task facing the station as it relocated, would be replacing 120,000sq.ft with just 65,000sq.ft of real estate, into which they would force an expanded infrastructure.
Project director, Tom Gallagher and head of broadcast technology, Gary Welsh, weighed up their options - knowing that in applying advanced connectivity via a Cat6 copper fibre cabling infrastructure they had the opportunity to future-proof the facility at the dawn of the new era of high-definition.
The plan for Pacific Quay was to allow offices and newsrooms to intermix with post-production, dubbing/editing suites and rest areas, while included in th

"We listened to our customers and they told us white followspots would fill a need," says Fabiano Besio. "With the reception we've already received, we know this is exactly what our house-of-worship customers are looking for, and LDR is proud to provide it."
Seamlessly blending with the interiors of most houses of worship, the white Cantos fit discretely into the décor and enhance the worship service instead of detracting from it.
The white colour applies on the whole LDR Canto Range (120/230 volts) and are now available through local dealers.

The 'Stations of Russia' exhibition was held in early November; Community's sales representative for the region, Sylvia Fritsch, commented: "'Stations for Russia' is very different to the usual pro audio exhibitions we're so used to. Being market specific it enables real focus on the needs of the application, and Community is unique in being to able provide such a range of all-weather systems, with high intelligibility over a comprehensive range of distances and coverage patterns. The Russian Railways need a broad range of loudspeakers for indoor and outdoor use and there is no greater
Describing itself as 'eclectic, warm and decadent', the Dome Bar at the exclusive Crown Hotel prides itself on its ostentatious décor. So not only did Saltec have to provide a top-quality audio system which would primarily handle background music, but also be suitable for the bar's Friday and Saturday night DJ slot, but the loudspeakers needed to be visually unobtrusive.
Saltec's Stephen Askins chose eight TCS35. "The client wanted a good quality of sound with an even coverage throughout the venue," he says. "We chose TCS35s as we had used them in other venues with great s
Sound reinforcement for the Production North event saw Wigwam Hire dress the acoustically-difficult RAH with a Martin Audio W8LC/W8LM system, placing the operation in the hands of FOH engineer Mark Littlewood, and his system tech Jon Brooks.
Since first mixing Massive Attack at the venue back in 1998 Littlewood has learnt much of the room's characteristics; and with technology advancing apace both he and Jon noted how well the Martin Audio line array combination had sounded last time the two men rigged it here - for a show by G4 - particularly the front-fill sound created by the Mini Line Arrays.

Underwood is out on her first tour, supporting her multi-platinum album, Some Hearts. The tour includes everything from headline dates, to fairs, to special guest slots on tours such as Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley. To handle the variety of situations, Jackson and crew put together a simple system that is able to merge into whatever house or headline artist's system that they might encounter.

The comedy, starring Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick as dueling neighbours, thrusts intelligent LED lighting into the national spotlight as DeVito's character attempts to turn his house into the world's biggest and most brilliant holiday display. His ambitions are realised when the entire house is transformed into a traffic-halting multimedia light show made possible by Color Kinetics' LED technology.
"This is a film that literally hinges on the lighting -- where the lights are a central character. Anything less than spectacular would have failed the story," said Jason McKinnon of Electric Aura Lighting Design, who conceptualised the lighting seque

The manufacturer believes AV professionals will appreciate the eight true balanced line-level outputs and the device's ability to decode digital surround sound signals and output them to their specific speaker output. The DN-A7100 is compatible the with most advanced surround sound formats and because of its unique design, is ideal for any installation that requires high-quality, channel-separated audio outputs - especially those installations where adapting unbalanced RCA preamp outputs is unacceptable or the extra weight of ill-purposed, unused consumer power amps is not required.
In addition to the eight balanced line outputs,
On the Spielbudenplatz, two large stages were constructed during the early months of 2006 and fitted in June with 2560 DecaLED Pixeldot Pro (rated IP55), 80 LagoLED USB-i 505 controllers and 1.5km of cabling (rated IP55). The lighting designer's vision was to create two stages with DMX-controllable LED fixtures.
