Hungary - Located in Székesfehérvár, MOL Aréna Sóstó (MOL Arena Salt Lake) has always been considered as one of Hungary’s most important stadiums outside Budapest. The multi-purpose stadium, home to the first division MOL Vidi Football Club and primarily used for football matches, has recently undergone a full rebuild.
The Interton Group, which specialises in the design and installation of sound, light, visual and control systems, was commissioned to design and install the audio system for the new stadium. With extensive stadium sound experience, Interton used acoustic modelling to prove its design based on Community R Series loudspeakers as the optimum solution.
Sixty-four Community R.5HP loudspeakers, flown in pairs under the leading edge of the canopy, cover the stadium’s four seated stands that combine to give a 14,201 capacity. A single Community RSH-46

Norway - Docked in Oslo’s Frammuseet museum, the Fram is a ship steeped in rich history. Having voyaged to the Arctic and Antarctic between 1893 and 1912 with its Norwegian crew at the helm, and carried the first person to reach the South Pole in 1911, it came to rest in 1936 - and has since evolved into a much-lauded tourist attraction in the city, with an annual footfall of over 200,000 every year.
Drawing visitors from all over the globe, the museum sought to upgrade its offering in 2018 to provide a world-class, immersive experience – turning to UK-based specialist visitor attraction AV integrator Sarner International to lead the ambitious and complex installation project.
With the objective of making visitors feel a part of an arctic adventure, immersive audio and projection were to take centre stage in the renovation. However, the challenge was how to go abou

Switzerland - ICF Mittelland, a non-denominational free church in Oftringen, has recently upgraded its audio system to a full KV2 system supplied by Swiss Pro AV and lighting specialists, Plusmusic AG.
The church is housed in the Celebration Hall at the You Event Centre in Oftringen which offers space for 800 standing places or 350 seats, depending on the event. The highlight of the week is the Celebrations service for all age groups. It takes place every Sunday and is always a loud, cheerful and passionate occasion accompanied by a worship band.

Production manager Anthony Newton comments: "The original plan was for Unusual to join the project and do all the rigging. This consisted of a U shape of walls which were to be dead-hung above the stage surrounding the central performance space."
He continues: "Very late in the day, we changed this to a fully automated system that would allow for the walls to rise and fall several times during the performance. Luckily for us, Unusual's Simon Stone and his team aren't phased by such last minute changes. This was my first time working with them but their reputation is so great, I felt confident we were in sa

The latest addition to the company’s Pro Audio and Studio range, Orion is the culmination of extensive research into the optimisation of MLS sequences for calibrated acoustic absorption. An array of Orion absorbers create areas with a distinct acoustic response, each calibrated to work at a certain frequency range – the panel’s performance begins at 315Hz and offers effective, even absorption to 3150Hz.
Using Helmholtz-style absorption techniques boosts mid-low and mid-range absorption, whilst the open areas of the panel are enough to guarantee high-frequency control. Designed for the studio world, where each surface is critical, the new Orion panels have been created to enable producers and engineers to m

USA - The Pell City Centre for Education and the Performing Arts (CEPA) is the cultural heart and soul of Pell City, Alabama, a mixed economy town and Birmingham suburb of over 13,000 residents. A little over a decade old, CEPA’s 400-seat theatre is used daily by the adjacent Pell City High School, the nearby middle school, several other Pell City-area schools, and numerous community groups.
It hosts musicals, dramas, school band performances, concerts, and lectures, but until recently, its sound reinforcement system fell far short of complete coverage, leaving some one hundred seats in nothing but the diffuse sound field. Local AV integration and live sound production company Lost in Sound designed and installed a Danley-based system that now covers all of the seats with highly-intelligible sound.

“It’s simple, four-on-the-floor, rock ‘n’ roll music with heavy guitar rifs,” said production designer Sooner Routhier of the music’s continuing appeal. “As far as lighting, it requires an old school light show with simple cuing that accents the music but isn’t overly embellished.” Routhier co-production designed the show with Robert Long, who has been with KISS in various roles for over 20 years. Associate designer/show director is Ashley Zapar.
